Well I found my original character name(a screenshot/post I made from 5 years ago had my char name in it) so I know I'm giving them a valid char name with my serial code.

But it's still failing to log me in.

I preordered GW2 on release. Played it for for about a month. Had a level 60ish necromancer and got bored. Didn't really fully dive into the game and kinda regret it.

Anyways, i'm trying to play again now. First of all, is it even worth it to get back in it?

Secondly, how do I recover my account, or does it even matter? Are there any perks I get for having owned the game so long? Do I need to buy new stuff? Right now they won't even let me login even though I've given my email and my original Digital serial code that I preordered the game with(lmao don't know how I actually found that), because it says I need to enter a character name that I had registered too. And I have no idea what my char might be named.

They act like I might have a molten breakdown if I get a bad teammate in the 'match the string' game in 2v2 or something online ranked mode.

I promise you I can handle binding my fate with someone else in a 2v2 minigame, Nintendo.

As long as they give this game some free updates at least once a month, it'll be fine.

If it stays exactly as is, it'll be kind of meh. But if it improves, it'll be a good game.

Right now it's like I said, the online minigames are fun, but they gotta flesh it out more. There's no reason not to have 2v2 minigames included at the very least. You telling me SMP is TOO COMPETITIVE to have 2v2 minigames online instead of FFA only minigames. C'mon man.

That's just my experience. Never seen a duplicate in Mariothon and my matches weren't filling fast when I was day 1 marioing. But goomba = fast match.

They need to expand the minigames available in online though a bit.

The FFA ones are cool and all, but they need to add some of the other ones too even if they're less competitive.

I think Mariothon only lets one of each character join so just don't pick Mario and you'll get faster matches, I think. My queues instapopped when I started playing as goomba.

Toys to Life schemes suck. Its great and all that Nintendo has a good relationship with Ubisoft but the last thing the Star Fox IP needs is to be tied to a genre that all but shut down last gen because everyone got sick of forking out money for the toys.

Also the game might not even be good. Who knows.

Maybe they're targetting the 8-12 year old demographic.

Just looked into it. It appears to not be lootboxes, at the very least.

It's the "pay more and get more" model where you can buy toys or digital DLC.

If it looks amazing I might get digital deluxe star fox version. If it looks only decent I'll probably just skip it since I don't like buying a lot of separate purchases for content.

I mean Im not foaming at the mouth over the games existence unlike some other people but I really dont understand why we have to keep retreading Gen 1

The gameplay is so shallow too, that I think they couldve at least added Johto too and wouldve been fine

For a lot of people this isn't gonna be a retread, ya know?

I'm over 30 years old now and I basically 'aged out' of Pokemon in gen 2 before most current gamers even got into it(or were born, for that matter)

And I haven't played Gen 1 fully in years. I'm excited to give the new shiny version a try.
